Jabardasth is a 2013 Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Nandini Reddy under the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions.[2] It stars Siddharth, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen in lead roles.[3][4][5] The film released on 22 February 2013 and was commercially successful at the box office.[6][7]

The film is not heavily inspired by 2010 Hindi film Band Baaja Baaraat.[8] Yash Raj Films, producers of the Hindi film, claimed that Jabardasth is an unofficial remake and planned to take legal action against its makers.[9][10]

Plot

[edit]

"Jabardasth" follows the story of Bairraju (Siddharth) and Shreya (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), two ambitious individuals with entrepreneurial dreams.

    • Introduction:**

Bairraju is a charismatic and confident young man who dabbles in various business ventures, none of which are successful. Shreya is an intelligent and determined woman who aspires to make it big in the business world.

    • Meeting and Partnership:**

Bairraju and Shreya meet under unusual circumstances, and despite their initial misunderstandings, they recognize each other's potential. They decide to partner up and start a wedding planning business called "Shreyas Media." Their innovative ideas and dedication soon make their business a huge success.

    • Success and Conflict:**

As their business flourishes, so does their friendship, which gradually turns into something more. However, personal differences and misunderstandings start to create a rift between them. Bairraju's carefree and impulsive nature clashes with Shreya's meticulous and practical approach. Their conflicting personalities lead to frequent arguments.

    • Separation:**

The tension reaches a breaking point when a major misunderstanding causes Shreya to leave the business. Both of them are hurt and angry, leading to a separation. The business suffers as a result, and both realize the value of their partnership.

    • Realization and Reunion:**

After spending time apart, Bairraju and Shreya reflect on their relationship and recognize their mistakes. Bairraju understands the importance of responsibility, and Shreya learns to appreciate spontaneity. They come to realize that their differences complement each other and that they are better together.

    • Conclusion:**

Bairraju and Shreya reconcile and get back together, both personally and professionally. They revive their wedding planning business with renewed energy and understanding. The film ends on a happy note with their business booming and their relationship stronger than ever.
